I am an Australian ESL Teacher and love helping non English speaking students learn the Australian customs, idioms and fun words! We will look at Australian Slang, and get you used to hearing our accent so your time here is fun and not confusing. It has been noted that people coming to Australia to work or study enjoy the experience but find our accent difficult to understand. A little journey with me should help with that and make you feel comfortable to communicate in your new found environment. I have TESOL qualifications and I work hard to ensure that every student gets the most out of every lesson.

About This Course & Teaching Style

This is a Pre-Intermediate Adult ESL Level Course

I enjoy learning other languages which also gives me an insight into different cultures. I would very much like to teach Australian English and help students to gain an insight into the Australian culture. I don't have any "standard" courses - each lesson is designed with the student journey in mind. I combine practical exercises with free conversation to help you improve your listening skills, knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and specific features of pronunciation and colloquial use, as well as your ability to use these skills naturally in your speech.

Private Lessons - Prepare for IETLS

If you feel you need to improve your Australian English in specific areas, or need to prepare for your IETLS for study or immigration purposes, we can look at tailoring individual private lessons to your interests and goals. So let me know if you have any specific requests. We will make sure that the material is the right level for you as you progress and we can move onto more advanced lessons and situations. I will regularly monitor your progress and asses you to see which areas we need to focus on and I will get feedback from you to make sure you are happy with the way things are going. It should be challenging but also fun!
